Darren has worked with Peak Performance coach Jamie Edwards, Visual Coach Sherylle Calder and Sports Psychologist Dr Brian Hemmings to understand the contribution that the mind can make in moving towards or away from success as a golfer.

‘Everything we do is a routine or process,’ says Darren. ‘Swinging the club is only a small part of the process of moving the golf ball in a stroke. All parts of the process, from our expectation of what we want to happen, to the actual outcome of the stroke. From how we speak to ourselves in our own heads and what we do as a result, all these have a major impact on how we perform, how we swing and ultimately where the ball goes.’

In addition to his work with Jamie Edwards, his PGA certification in Psychology, Darren also uses Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) skills and draws on his work with Dr Sherylle Calder to understand how visual training plays an important part in peak performance.
