Do I need my own golf clubs?2017-11-09T17:08:29+00:00

No, we have plenty of golf clubs for you to use if you haven’t got your own yet. If you do have your own set then we would recommend that you bring them along and use.

Do I need to wear golf shoes in the centre?2017-11-09T16:00:43+00:00

If you have them, we think yes.

Even though the golf centre only has high quality, cushioned hitting mats to hit golf balls off, we think practicing like you play is important, as consistency is a key factor that you are looking for.  Wearing leather brogues or crocs for your lesson is going to give you a completely different experience.

Don’t worry if you have got any golf shoes, a solid pair of trainers will be ideal until you do get your own pair of golf shoes.

Will golf lessons help me?2017-11-09T15:54:59+00:00

Yes, of course they will help you. As we state what you think you are doing and what you are actually doing can often be very different.  Seeing is believing!  Likewise, it is good to see and be told that you are doing something very well?!?!

But, you have to be prepared to work at it, the improvement in your golf will not happen overnight. You do need to spend time developing the new skills, positions or movements.

How many lessons should I take?2017-11-09T15:52:39+00:00

This is a good question. An even better one to answer as there are so many variables.   The three lesson or six lesson packs that we offer are a good guide. Most changes and alterations can be made within those timescales and with you having the knowledge to allow them to last.

Our coaches are enthusiastic to help you play your best and they like teaching in the lessons booked with them. With this in mind, if they think you need some time to go away and develop a skill or movement, then they will suggest so. In their mind, having you book another lesson, for them just watch you practice is not what a lesson is booked for. This is called a supervised practice session and can be booked as just that.

We recommend for the keen golfer, to have a lesson every month. This is to ensure al the routines and swing changes  are being maintained to the highest level. It is also to reduce flaws before they become  too ingrained and problematic.

Am I too old to have a lesson?2017-11-09T11:50:13+00:00

Definitely not! Our oldest clients are well in their 80’s.

You are never too old to develop new skills, whether it is to improve your golf or to learn how to play the game for the very first time. There are plenty of health and social benefits is playing golf.

How long does it take to play a round of golf?2017-11-09T11:42:48+00:00

This depends on a few factors just like the out on the gold course.  How many players, their golfing abilities and how much social chat goes on.  Which golf course you choose to play also has a major factor.

With gimmies on the green, last night two players played 11 holes in 45 minutes on  Whistling Straights GC and they were playing at a fairly steady pace. A little chatting
